My daughter bought me one of these for Christmas, and I have to say it's quite probably the worst 'player' I have ever had. I actually can't think of one good thing to say about it. I eventually managed to relate the fact that it wasn't working to he company in the U.K who are responsible for repairing these things. It took ages, I don't have a clue where they get these people from, you can imagine trying to explain the problems with an electronic component to somebody who can't speak, or understand the English language. The player I returned for repair was in mint condition, I received back a player that was clearly well used, with the chrome plastic hanging off, but it did work, or it would have done if they had returned the headphones too. So, I went out and spent even more money on a pair of headphones, which including the p&p return postage had now cost me £12.00. Ah well, at least it worked, didn't it, yes, for a month, then back to square one, I actually ended up just throwing it the drawer, a complete waste of money.

Regarding the kubik 8gb mp3 player, can this be connected to the stereo, a function available in most vehicles these days, and re downloading music, as a technophobe and lifelong i-pod user, can I download the saved music from my i-pod account?
P.s. Good informative website, thanks.

Very poor, unreliable. I can only offer my opinion on the kubik digital edge 4gb player and with that in mind I thoroughly advise you to avoid. Stick with the reliable , established manufacturers, yes, the may cost more, but you are paying for that reliablity and pedigree. My kubik edge stopped working when it had a total amount of 10 songs on it, the screen locks up and stays that way. I thought I had just been unlucky, but it appears that amazon sell this player and the feedback from buyers suggests that this problem is reasonably common. Happy buying, happy listening.
